Our grief support groups provide a safe place for you to explore and express your grief in a way that is comfortable and healing for you. Talking about grief with others who are also coping with the death of a loved one often helps reduce feelings of isolation and of not being understood.
Our professional staff provides short-term counseling, support groups, workshops, and other services designed to compassionately meet your needs. Groups offer an opportunity for people to connect with others who “get it.”
Support groups offer you the opportunity to gather with others who are coping with the same type of loss as you. Groups meet for several consecutive weeks.
These are times to remember and celebrate those we love through corporate services, the lighting of luminaries (at our annual Lights of Remembrance), and other ceremonies.
We often offer single sessions and series of workshops that help educate and support you as you walk through grief and coping.
Mindfulness workshops help you learn and practice ways to care for yourself throughout your grief journey. These events often include guided imagery, gentle stretching, and other mind-body exercises.
Expressive arts events use art, mindfulness, and movement to explore themes of grief, transformation, growth, renewal, and hope. No art experience is needed for any of these events.
Our child and teen grief offerings provide a safe place for children, teens, and families to express their grief in a comfortable, healing way.
Our groups and events give opportunities to learn more about grief and coping strategies as well as connect with grieving peers. These connections can reduce isolation and give space to explore the wide range of emotions associated with the loss of a loved one.
See the Family Activities tab for written and video resources that provide ideas about how your family can connect and cope after a loss.
